Official file: β€œStabs the nearest chicken every couple of seconds. Farmers’ rights.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

Every revolution needs a symbol, and the farm’s symbol is the pitchfork. It is the tool that started it all β€” the one every farmer knows how to hold and every chicken has learned to fear. The Farmer’s Pitchfork stabs the nearest chicken every couple of seconds, with the quiet dignity of someone defending their property and their rights. The farm’s rights. Farmers’ rights.

It is cheap, it is reliable, and it pushes as well as it stabs β€” every hit shoves the flock back a step, keeping the line honest. It is not the most elegant defence, but it is the most principled. A pitchfork in the right hands is a statement. In the farm’s hands, it is a statement with a very sharp end.

Short range is its only real limit β€” it has to be close enough to make the point. Chaos Marketing makes the shove harder, and Rapid Fire keeps the stabbing steady. The flock has learned to give the pitchfork’s corner a wide berth, which the farm considers a victory for organised agriculture.

    PUSH

Official file: β€œBlasts chickens backwards. Great for funneling them into your other traps.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

The Fan Funnel is not a weapon. It is a traffic director with very strong opinions. It blasts chickens backwards β€” not far enough to stop them, just far enough to re-route them β€” and the farm has learned that re-routing is the most valuable thing a defence can do. The flock has a name for the fan’s output: the wrong way.

It deals no damage. It does not need to. The fan’s job is to make every other defence’s job easier: push the flock into the spike traps, hold them in the tar, funnel them into the kill zone where the towers are waiting. The chickens arrive confused, rearranged and perfectly positioned for the farm’s plans.

Chaos Marketing makes the push harder and the stun longer; Rapid Fire keeps the wind steady. And the fan is the social glue of the synergy board β€” Spread Flames with the Fryer, Firestorm with the Rotisserie, Trap Launcher with the Spike Trap. One fan, three catastrophes. The flock does not understand the fan. The flock only knows it is always, somehow, heading the wrong way.

    What it’s good at

    STUN

Official file: β€œCatches a chicken in a loop of rope and stuns it. Scales with Sharper Traps.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

The Snare Trap comes from an older school of farm defence: no explosions, no science, no drama. Just a loop of rope, a spring, and a chicken that stepped exactly where it should not have. The loop snaps shut around the chicken and holds it there β€” stunned, suspended, and very annoyed β€” for a good long while.

It does no damage. It does not need to. The snare is a timeout, not a knockout: it takes one chicken out of the fight long enough for every other defence on the board to notice it, and the flock has learned that a snared chicken is a chicken with time to think. The thinking never helps.

Its weakness is honest: one target at a time, no damage of its own. Sharper Traps makes the hold longer, and Trapper’s Kit adds +50% to the family business. Place snares where a single chicken matters β€” on boss lanes, in front of the damage line, at the door β€” and let the rope do the talking.

    STUN

Official file: β€œSNAPS shut on one chicken for massive damage. Scales with Sharper Traps.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

The Giant Mousetrap is the farm’s answer to a question nobody asked: what if a mousetrap were big enough to matter? It is. The mechanism is simple β€” a spring, a bar, and a chicken that did not read the sign. It SNAPS shut on one chicken for massive damage, with a sound the farm has learned to love and the flock has learned to dread.

The snap is the whole show. There is no burst, no beam, no clever science β€” just a bar moving very fast and one chicken having a very bad day. It is single-target by design and proud of it. The flock has learned to walk in single file near the trap, which is exactly the formation the rest of your defences enjoy most.

Its weakness is honest: it is slow to reset. After the snap, the trap needs a moment to wind itself back up β€” a moment the flock can exploit if it has numbers. Sharper Traps makes the snap even more massive, and Trapper’s Kit adds +50%. Place it where the flock is forced to pass, and remember: the trap does not need to be clever. It needs to be big, and it is very, very big.

    What it’s good at

    SLOW

Official file: β€œChickens wade through it: slowed and gently cooked. Scales with Sharper Traps.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

There is a stretch of road on every farm that the flock has learned to regret. It looks like ordinary ground, but it is not ordinary ground β€” it is Sticky Tar, laid down by the farm’s least popular road crew and never once complained about by the farm itself. Chickens wade through it. That is the point. They slow, they stick, and they are gently cooked.

Gently is the key word. The tar does not explode, does not zap and does not rush. It is patient the way weather is patient. A chicken that walks into the patch is a chicken that will be there for a while, slightly warm, deeply slowed, and very visible to every tower behind it. For a cheap 22 eggs, the tar turns your worst chokepoint into a barbecue that takes its time.

Its weakness is honest: very low damage on its own. The tar is a support act, not a headliner β€” it sets the table, and everything else does the eating. Sharper Traps makes the cooking more serious, and Trapper’s Kit adds +50%. Stack it in front of your damage line and the flock wades in slowly, politely, and straight into the firing squad.

    BOOMAOE

Official file: β€œChickens peck it. BOOM. Chain reactions when several gather.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

The Bread-Crumb Mine is the flock’s favourite snack and its least favourite surprise, in exactly that order. It sits on the road looking like a perfectly reasonable pile of breadcrumbs β€” because it is a perfectly reasonable pile of breadcrumbs, with a very unreasonable amount of explosive underneath. Chickens peck it. BOOM.

The boom is an AoE event with ambitions: it clears the pecking chicken and everything around it, and when several mines are near each other, the first boom triggers the second, which triggers the third β€” chain reactions that turn the road into a drumroll. The flock has a rule about breadcrumbs now. The rule is: don’t.

Its weakness is honest: it needs a chicken to trigger it. Ghosts float over, cautious flocks walk around, and a mine with no pecking is just a very tense pile of crumbs. Sharper Traps makes the boom heavier, Bigger Bangs makes it wider, and Trapper’s Kit adds +50% β€” three ways to make the flock’s favourite snack even more regrettable.

Official file: β€œ30 damage to whatever steps on it. Ghosts float. Obviously.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

The Spike Trap is the farm’s oldest idea and its most reliable one: a hole, some spikes, and a chicken that was not looking where it was going. Thirty damage to whatever steps on it. The flock has learned to look where it’s going. The trap is deeply okay with this, because there are always more chickens who weren’t looking.

Ghosts float. Obviously. The manuals say it in exactly that tone β€” “Ghosts float. Obviously.” β€” as if the trap had been built specifically to be insulted by the one chicken type it cannot touch. It is a small area, one chicken at a time, but the hit it delivers is huge, and Sharper Traps makes every spike pointier. Trapper’s Kit on top adds +50%.

The real trick is placement: put it where the flock must step β€” in funnels, at chokepoints, around corners β€” and let a Fan do the rest. Trap Launcher hurls chickens straight onto the spikes, and every blast smacks the flock for bonus trap damage. The trap does not chase. The trap does not need to. The flock comes to it, one at a time, forever.

Official file: β€œLobs a shell at the thickest clump of chickens. Big splash.”
    The story so far

    Backstory

The Egg Mortar is artillery with an egg-based sense of humour. It lobs a shell high into the air, lets gravity do the aiming, and drops it exactly where the flock is thickest β€” because when you have one shell and a crowd, you don’t aim at a chicken, you aim at the argument.

Big splash. That is the entire doctrine. The shell doesn’t need to hit anything in particular; it needs to land in the middle of the clump and let the explosion introduce itself. The flock has a name for the moment the shell appears overhead: run. It rarely works. The mortar has already done the maths.

Its weakness is honest β€” the shell is slow, and movers can dodge. The flock that spreads out survives; the flock that bunches up pays tuition. Armour Piercing Rounds make the boom heavier, Rapid Fire keeps the shells coming, and Bigger Bangs makes every landing a bigger conversation. Pair it with the Confetti Cannon and Festival of Boom adds +30% blast radius β€” because the farm believes in over-delivering on weather.

    Backstory

The Tesla Tower was built by the farm’s least supervised scientist, who had one note pinned to the blueprint: EVERYTHING IS A CONDUCTOR. This turned out to be almost true, which is the best kind of true. The tower arcs lightning to the nearest chicken, and then β€” this is the important part β€” the lightning keeps going, chaining from chicken to chicken like gossip at a hen party.

It lives for clusters. One chicken is a disappointment; a dozen chickens is a party, and the Tesla Tower was born to ruin parties. The more the flock bunches up β€” in funnels, at chokepoints, around the farm door β€” the more value the tower gets from every single arc. AoE chain damage, straight from the sky, with absolutely no apology.

Its weakness is honest: it needs clusters to shine. Against a single tanky chicken it is a very expensive mood light. But pair it with the Ice-Cream Cannon and Shatter triggers β€” chilled chickens take 1.5x Tesla damage, and Tesla kills make the frozen flock burst and damage everything nearby. The scientist’s note was right. Everything is a conductor. Especially frozen chickens.

    Backstory

The Scarecrow Sniper has been standing in the same field for years. It has watched crows, gulls and geese ignore it with the same polite disdain, and it has developed the patience of something with no joints and nothing else to do. Then the farm gave it a rifle. The farm said: “Tired of the birds? These birds are worse.” The scarecrow understood. The scarecrow understood completely.

It is a sniper in the truest sense: long range, high single damage, and a rate of fire that suggests it is savouring the moment. One shot, one target, one very final opinion. The flock learned quickly that the scarecrow does not miss on purpose β€” and that it has had decades of standing in fields to practise patience.

It excels at removing the problem chickens before they become problems: chicken gods, roosters, drumsticks, elites. Armour Piercing Rounds make every shot heavier, and Rapid Fire lets it share its opinion more often. The scarecrow does not talk. It does not need to. It just stands there, tired of birds, with a rifle that agrees with it.

    What it’s good at

Long range, high single damage β€” one shot, one very fed-up scarecrow.

    Weakness

    Slow rate of fire

    Make it stronger

    Power-ups & upgrade paths

    πŸ“ˆ Perks that boost it

    Armour Piercing Rounds, Rapid Fire

    πŸ”± SUPER fusion

Eight of this defence fuse into one SUPER unit β€” x10 damage and double lifetime. Only one SUPER on the board at a time; extra sets feed it to power it up.

    πŸ”§ Upgrades & buffs

Hover a tower and press U for +25 seconds of lifetime per level. Overclock boosts all damage and fire rate by 50% for 25 seconds, and when the door drops below 15% HP every tower fires 25% faster. Press H for buff mode β€” towers beside a SUPER boost it 5% each.

    How it gets destroyed

    Durability

    πŸ’₯ Smash hits

8 hits before it falls apart. 8 smash hits and the scarecrow finally retires.

    πŸ— Who smashes it

Demolition Drumsticks take 50–75% of a structure’s max HP per swing, and Heavy Metal Chickens and Bureaucrat Elites knock things down too.

    ☒️ Friendly fire

Your own Nuke and explosive chain reactions don’t care whose side it’s on β€” keep fragile towers out of the blast radius.
