  • Chicken Types & Counters

    What it is

There are 25 chicken types, each with a 1–5 egg threat rating and a specific weakness. Reading the wave preview and knowing the counters is the difference between a clean wave and a rebuild.

    The big ones

    • Stealth chickens hide when idle — bells, chimes and sirens reveal them.
    • Ghosts float over traps — only sound defences damage them.
    • Titans are immune to towers — only creatures (Wolf, Garrison Cat, Drone, The Colonel) can put them down.
    • Drumsticks smash 50–75% of a structure’s HP per hit — the Rotisserie is their one true fear.
    • Cultists summon the chicken god if three gather — kill them fast.
    • Corn Thieves steal bank eggs as they walk — kill them for a 50% refund.

    Where to find them all

The Chicken Bestiary lists every type with sprite, threat rating, stats, lore and counter — and the Tips & Strategy page has the full 25-row counter table.

  • Run Relics

    Run Relics

    What it is

Before wave 1 of a normal run you pick one of three random relics (or none). The relic shapes your whole run — Daily Challenge runs skip relics and start clean.

    The 8 relics

    • Egg War Chest — start with +250 eggs.
    • Farm Subsidy — farms cost half price.
    • Armoury Voucher — your first Nuke is free.
    • Laser Focus — lasers deal +50% damage.
    • Golden Feathers — every chicken drops +1 egg.
    • Reinforced Barn — the farm door has +25% HP.
    • Royal Bells — bells ring twice as fast.
    • Trapper’s Kit — traps deal +50% damage.

    Pro tips

Match the relic to your build: Laser Focus if you lean on lasers, Farm Subsidy for an economy start, Reinforced Barn when the Daily-style pressure scares you. Golden Feathers and Egg War Chest are strong in any build.

  • The Perks Shop (Build & Perks)

The Perks Shop (Build & Perks)

    What it is

The Build & Perks shop upgrades your whole run between waves (and mid-wave — it pauses the game). Every perk level costs 35% more than the last, so early levels are cheap and later ones get expensive.

    The 13 perks

    • Eggonomics — wave bonuses +25% per level.
    • Sharper Traps — trap damage +30% per level.
    • Bigger Bells — bell damage +25% and range +10% per level.
    • Colonel’s Confidence Course — the Colonel gains damage, fire rate and aim per level.
    • Reinforced Fences — new walls get +60% HP per level.
    • Tower Armour — non-wall defences absorb +30% more damage per level.
    • Gilded Beaks — every chicken drops +2.5% more eggs per level.
    • Chaos Marketing — distraction defences push and stun 20% harder per level.
    • Armour Piercing Rounds — damaging defences deal +7.5% damage per level (3.75% past level 30).
    • Beast Mode — creatures attack and move 10% faster per level.
    • Bigger Bangs — all explosions deal +10% damage per level.
    • Rapid Fire — every defence attacks 15% faster per level.
    • Bank Interest — banked eggs earn 1% interest per wave per level.

    Pro tips

Armour Piercing Rounds and Rapid Fire scale your whole board — rarely bad buys. Economy perks need time to pay off, so buy them early or not at all. See the full guide with when-to-buy notes on the Tips & Strategy page.

  • Egg Economy

    Egg Economy

    What it is

The economy buildings turn eggs into more eggs. The Egg Farm earns 1.2 eggs per second (more when clustered in blocks); the Egg Reserve stores eggs and pays compounding interest; the Tax-Collecting Rooster boosts every egg drop by 5% each, stacking with the Gilded Beaks perk.

    Costs and details

    • Farms: first five cost 300 → 450 → 600 → 675 → 750, then a flat 750. Chickens veer off the path to wreck them.
    • Egg Reserve: 200 eggs, pays compounding interest, scales with Bank Interest.
    • Tax Rooster: 100 → 200 → 300 → 400 → 500, then 750; +5% egg drops each.

    Pro tips

Economy early beats economy late — a farm placed at wave 3 has paid for itself by wave 12. Cluster farms for the block bonus, add a Tax Rooster before a kill-heavy wave, and keep an Egg Reserve for the interest.

  • The Builder Hen

    The Builder Hen

    What it is

The Builder is an Economy defence (150 eggs) that works the whole field: she builds a free farm every 30 seconds, rushes to repair the farm door at 1 bar per second when it’s damaged, and patches damaged towers nearby. Repairing extends her own 400-second lifetime.

    How to use it

    • Place her near the gate or your farm cluster so she can react quickly.
    • Let her do the farm-building for you — she prioritises finishing a farm before running to repairs.

    Pro tips

She takes two hits and she’s done — put walls or a distraction between her and the flock. A protected builder is a free farm every 30 seconds for 400 seconds: that’s a huge economy swing.

  • Overclock

    Overclock

    What it is

Overclock is a temporary emergency boost: every defence gains +50% damage and +50% fire rate for 25 seconds. The catch is that it costs 25% of your board’s total value.

    How to use it

    • Find the Overclock button on the right-hand column (under Build & Perks).
    • The button shows the live cost before you press it, then the remaining seconds while active.

    Pro tips

This is a panic button, not a buff — save it for the wave that’s about to breach the door. Combined with a SUPER and a few synergies, 25 seconds of overclock can turn a doomed wave around.

  • SUPER Fusion

    SUPER Fusion

    What it is

Eight of the same defence fuse into ONE SUPER unit: x10 damage, double lifetime and extra smash durability per level. Only one SUPER can be on the board at a time (seven small, or one big) — extra sets feed the current SUPER to power it up.

    How to use it

    • Place eight of the same defence, then press G to promote them into a SUPER.
    • Press H for buff mode — every tower beside the SUPER boosts it by 5% each.
    • Keep building more of the same kind: the sets feed the SUPER and make it stronger.

    Pro tips

Fuse your most-used tower once the map is stable, then surround it with buffers. SUPERs are smasher magnets — give them protection and keep your builder nearby.

  • Tower Synergies

    Tower Synergies

    What it is

Twelve pairs of defences unlock a shared bonus when placed on adjacent tiles (sharing an edge or corner). The game lights up a SYNERGY badge over both towers when a pair activates.

    The full list

    • Shatter — Ice-Cream + Tesla: chilled chickens take 1.5x Tesla damage and Tesla kills shatter the frozen flock.
    • Spread Flames — Fan + Fryer: burning chickens set their neighbours on fire.
    • Firestorm — Fan + Rotisserie: cooked chickens trail fire as they tumble.
    • Trap Launcher — Fan + Spike Trap: fans hurl chickens into traps for bonus damage.
    • Fortified — Fence + Wall: both gain 25% more HP.
    • Auto-Fund — Coin-Op + Farm: an adjacent farm feeds the turret so it never runs dry.
    • Audited Interest — Egg Reserve + Tax Rooster: the rooster raises the reserve’s interest by 50%.
    • Tax Harvest — Farm + Tax Rooster: +25% egg production from the farm.
    • Spectral Focus — Cluckbuster + Laser: +50% laser damage to ghosts.
    • Pack Tactics — The Colonel + Wolf: the wolf hunts and chomps 20% faster.
    • Festival of Boom — Confetti Cannon + Egg Mortar: +30% blast radius.
    • Deafening — Bell Tower + Whistle: +50% stun duration.

    Pro tips

Plan your layout around pairs before waves hit. Tesla + Ice-Cream near a funnel, Wall + Fence on the front line, and Coin-Op + Farm early for free ammunition.

  • Difficulty & Mutators

    Difficulty & Mutators

    What it is

The difficulty picker rolls 10 random mutators for your run. Easy draws weaken the flock (softer shells, slower spawns, friendlier missiles…), Hard draws buff it (thicker skin, stampedes, missile swarms…). Normal keeps the standard game.

    How it pays

    • Hard runs bank 50% of eggs earned.
    • Normal runs bank 30%.
    • Easy runs bank 25%.
    • Everyone gets +10 bank eggs per cleared wave and +100 for a new high score.

    Pro tips

Read the 10 mutators before you commit — a Hard draw with Double Trouble or Thick Skinned is a very different run. Play Easy to learn, Normal to bank steadily, and Hard when you’re chasing the leaderboard or a fat egg payout.

  • Controls & Hotkeys

    Controls & Hotkeys

    What it is

Chicken Siege is fully playable with mouse or touch, but the keyboard shortcuts make mid-wave management much faster. Each defence card in the bar also lists its own select key.

    The full hotkey list

    • 1–0 and Q/W/E — select a defence from the bar
    • R — restart the current wave (press twice); same build, same eggs
    • U — upgrade the hovered tower (+25 seconds lifetime per level)
    • G — promote to SUPER (fuse 8 of the same defence)
    • T — cycle targeting mode
    • Z — undo last placement
    • X — delete mode
    • B — battle speed (2x)
    • H — buff mode: towers beside a SUPER boost it 5% each
    • P / Esc — pause
    • M — mute

    Pro tips

Get comfortable with R, U and B first — quick restarts, instant upgrades and battle speed save the most time. On mobile, the same actions live on the on-screen buttons.
