    The chicken god, explained

    The Cluckening is the flock’s end-of-days boss: 20x HP, a defending disciple army, and the unshakeable belief that your castle should be a nesting site. It only loses to absolutely everything you have, all at once. Here’s how to be ready.

    Stop the summon

    The god only arrives when 3 cultists gather. Kill cultists before they form a circle — two cultists are a nuisance, three are a countdown. If an event or mutator is summoning mini-gods, treat every cultist as the top target.

    Watch the intel

    The between-wave INTEL card names the nastiest thing coming. If it mentions the god, use the countdown: bank eggs, buy Armour Piercing Rounds and Rapid Fire, and upgrade your best towers in place with U.

    Save the Nuke

    The 1,500-egg Nuke’s ~20-tile blast is the biggest single hit in the game. Save it for the god wave — but pull your own fragile towers out of the blast radius first, because it destroys everything in it.

    Overclock on arrival

    The moment the god appears, hit Overclock: +50% damage and fire rate for 25 seconds. It costs 25% of your board’s value — and this is exactly the emergency it’s for.

    Fuse a SUPER

    Eight of the same defence become one x10-damage SUPER. A SUPER Laser, Gatling or Ballista is the strongest single-target tool you own — keep it for the boss, and use H-mode buff towers beside it for +5% each.

    Focus fire, single target

    The god is one enormous HP pool. Ballista, Scarecrow Sniper, Laser (Laser Focus relic = +50%) and an upgraded Gatling melt it. AoE towers are for the army, not the god.

    Clear the disciples

    The god raises a defending disciple army. Let Mortar, Confetti, Tesla and traps thin the swarm while your single-target line burns the god — ignore the adds and they will eat your towers.

    Protect the door

    The god wave is when everything else is also trying to reach the door. Top up its HP, keep walls and a Builder Hen nearby, and remember the last-stand buff: below 15% HP, every tower fires 25% faster.

  • Settings & Performance

    Settings & Performance

    What it is

    The settings screen (title and pause menu) controls performance, appearance and comfort. The adaptive quality governor watches your FPS and trims effects automatically if it dips below 30, restoring them when performance recovers to 55+.

    Settings worth knowing

    • Quality — manual preset; changing it resets auto-trims.
    • Chicken texture atlas (faster) — batches all chicken sprites into one draw call; great on low-end devices.
    • Defence help on hover — turn off once you know your towers so the guide never covers the bar.
    • Language — six languages included; switch any time, even mid-siege.
    • Battle speed (B) — double game speed for grinding.

    Pro tips

    On a phone or low-end laptop, enable the atlas and let the governor do its job — it trims effects before they hurt your run, never the other way around.

  • Run Report & Share Cards

    Run Report & Share Cards

    What it is

    Both end screens show a RUN REPORT: your MVP tower with total damage, the top 3 damage and kill towers, farm-door damage taken, leak count and worst leak type, and the best combo with the wave it happened on.

    Share cards

    • Click Share Run to render a 1200×675 parchment share card: game title, mode, medal art, rank and run stats, plus the game URL.
    • On desktop the image is saved and opened for posting; in the browser it downloads as a PNG.
    • Your stat summary is also copied to the clipboard as a fallback.

    Pro tips

    Your run history keeps the newest 200 runs, so you can compare yourself against past you. Share cards are the easiest way to brag — or to recruit someone to beat your score.

  • Cloud Saves

    Cloud Saves

    What it is

    Cloud saves sync your progress between devices — browser to browser, or browser to Steam. You get a 6-character code that names the save and a private key that actually unlocks it.

    How to use it

    • Open CLOUD SAVE on the title screen and generate a code.
    • Press Upload to push your save, or Download to pull it on another device.
    • The private key is stored only on your device — write it down; the code alone can’t read or overwrite anything.

    Pro tips

    Treat the private key like a password — anyone with it can restore your save. Use the same code and key on a new device and your bank, medals and settings come with you.

  • Challenge Codes

    Challenge Codes

    What it is

    A 6-character challenge code recreates your exact map, mutators, setup and 500 eggs — same seed, same everything. Friends race the identical challenge, and your best survival time is saved per code.

    How to use it

    • Copy your current map to share from the CUSTOM MAPS panel.
    • Send the code to friends — they enter it and race your challenge.
    • Beat a shared code’s best time to earn the Code Breaker medal.

    Pro tips

    Challenge codes are perfect for community tournaments and friendly rivalries. The code is the challenge’s identity — share it widely, then go set the time to beat.

  • The Map Editor

    The Map Editor

    What it is

    EDIT MAP mode turns you into a map designer: paint water, forests, hills, pits, rocks and corn tile by tile, add decorative farm objects, and publish your creation to the community gallery with a name, author and download count. You can also generate themed farms (lakes, forest, mountains, death pits, rivers) in one click.

    How to use it

    • Enter EDIT MAP from the title screen.
    • Paint terrain and objects, then publish with a name.
    • Load anyone else’s map from the gallery with one click.

    Pro tips

    Terrain blocks placement — design lanes deliberately. Funnel chickens where your towers can see them, and use pits to delete anything that strays.

  • Medals Explained

    Medals Explained

    What it is

    Medals are your bragging rights and they persist forever. There are 28 achievements (leaderboard placements plus a roster of ridiculous behaviour badges), 24 rank medals for daily placement, 13 worst-performance medals for gloriously failing, plus weekly event and season medals.

    Examples

    • Daily Champion — #1 on today’s board.
    • Chicken Whisperer — converted 10 chickens to your side.
    • Cluck of Shame — lost the siege to a baby chick.
    • Code Breaker — beat a shared challenge code’s best time.
    • Chicken God — finished a season at the top tier.

    Pro tips

    Rank 1–24 each map to a themed chicken medal (1st is The Cluckening, 24th is The Baby). The Medals page shows the full collection with art and unlock conditions.

  • Daily Quests & Streaks

    Daily Quests & Streaks

    What it is

    Every UTC day rolls 3 daily quests from a pool — kill chickens, place defences, earn eggs, clear waves. Each quest has a MINI goal (easy, ~150 eggs) and a BIG goal (hard, up to ~1000 eggs). Playing on consecutive days builds a streak with milestone bonuses.

    How to use it

    • Open DAILY QUESTS from the title screen to see today’s goals.
    • Claim each tier once — rewards are bank eggs.
    • Streak milestones pay +100 eggs a day, with +500 at day 7, +1000 at day 14 and +3000 at day 30.
    • Buy a streak shield for 300 bank eggs (max 3 held) to survive a missed day.

    Pro tips

    Some quests track your best single run (e.g. 1500 kills in one game) rather than daily totals — those need a focused long run. Check which type you drew before you queue up.

  • Leaderboards & Names

    Leaderboards & Names

    What it is

    Chicken Siege’s boards rank survival times: the Daily board updates live, the Weekly board sums your best runs, and the Season board tracks the whole league. Equipped emblems show beside your name.

    How to use it

    • Enter a 1–4 character leaderboard name before your first Daily run (changeable in pause settings).
    • Your rank is polled every 30 seconds mid-run, so the top bar shows your live position (“TOP 14%”).
    • Your own row is highlighted in gold; top 3 get medal-coloured borders.

    Pro tips

    Names are profanity-filtered server-side, so pick something family-friendly. Your emblem from the TITLES & EMBLEMS panel rides along on every board row — equip your rarest one.

  • Weekly Events

    Weekly Events

    What it is

    Every UTC week the game rolls a themed event — Cluckstorm Week, Boom Week, Midnight Clucking, The Swarmening, Legal Nightmare, the Drumstick Derby and more — each with its own mutator set and an exclusive medal.

    How to use it

    • Events are opt-in from the title screen — you choose whether to take on the twist.
    • Reach the event’s goal wave (12–15 depending on the event) to earn its exclusive medal.
    • Event medals are awarded once per week.

    Pro tips

    Read the event’s mutators before starting — they’re a curated difficulty twist, so expect the theme to matter. The full event calendar and medal list is on the Medals page.
